Have you ever wondered why some people seem to effortlessly manifest their desires while others struggle endlessly? Well, it’s not just luck or coincidence. It’s all about understanding the 3D vs. 4D dynamics in the Law of Assumption.
Today we’re going to break down this concept, and by the end, you’ll be able to understand the difference between the two and truly start manifesting with ease. So let’s dive into the world of belief, manifestation, and the battle between 3D and 4D.

The Law of Assumption Explained
Before we delve into 3D vs. 4D, let’s first understand what the Law of Assumption is all about.
What is the Law of Assumption?
The Law of Assumption is a fundamental principle in the world of manifestation and personal growth coined by Neville Goddard. It’s based on the idea that your assumptions—your deeply held beliefs and expectations—shape your reality. In other words, what you assume to be true becomes true for you.
So, if you assume that you’re destined for success, you’re more likely to experience success. On the other side, if you assume that you’re destined for failure, well, you get the idea.
You can read more about the law of assumption itself in my Law of Assumption 101 post here.
Keep in Mind: Most of your assumptions operate at a subconscious level. You might not even be aware of what you truly assume about yourself and your life. That’s why understanding the 3D vs. 4D in the Law of Assumption is crucial.

What is the 3D Assumption?
Our 3D assumptions are rooted in the physical world. They are beliefs that stem from everything you see, hear, and touch, and nothing else exists beyond the tangible reality.
Many people live their lives solely through the lens of the 3D. They limit themselves to what they can perceive with their five senses, disregarding the vast potential of the unseen.
How Do Your 3D Assumptions Affect Your Reality?
Your 3D assumptions can be both a blessing and a curse. When you believe only in the tangible, you might find it hard to envision a different, more abundant reality. Your mind becomes trapped in the constraints of the physical world, limiting your ability to manifest your desires.
An Example: If you believe that your current financial situation is the only reality, you’ll struggle to attract wealth. Your 3D assumption keeps you stuck in a loop of financial hardship.

What is the 4D Assumption?
The 4D, often referred to as the Fourth-Dimensional reality, acknowledges the existence of unseen forces and energies that influence our reality. It’s the belief that there’s more to life than what meets the eye. The 4D is your imagination, it’s the darkness you see behind your eyes and everything you envision there.
The 4D opens the door to a world of infinite possibilities. It invites you to explore the power of your thoughts, emotions, and intentions in shaping your reality.
How Does the 4D Assumption Transform Your Reality?
Your 4D assumptions empower you to break free from the limitations of the physical world. It encourages you to dream big, imagine the impossible, believe in the unseen movement, and believe in your power so you can achieve your desires.
Imagine this: If you hold a 4D assumption that abundance is your birthright, you’ll naturally attract wealth and opportunities into your life. Your belief in the metaphysical aspect of reality propels you forward, making the impossible possible.

How They Move in Your World: 3D vs. 4D
So, now that we’ve gone over both the 3D and 4D, let’s talk about what happens between them when most people are trying to use the Law of Assumption.
The Clash of Beliefs
The 3D and 4D are two areas of our lives that are always there. Sometimes they clash, and the outcome significantly impacts your life.
Imagine this: You want to start a new business. Your 3D assumption (Old Story, Tangible World) tells you it’s risky, and the physical evidence (lack of experience, resources, etc.) seems to back that up. But your 4D assumption (New Story, Imagination) is that you ARE a successful business owner, “I can do it. I see it in my mind and know it’s going to happen. It has already happened.”
Some people will struggle between the 3D and 4D, and the assumption you feed the most gains the upper hand.
Feeding the Right Assumption
The key to harnessing the power of the Law of Assumption is to feed the right assumption. In other words, you need to nourish the 4D assumption while keeping the 3D in check.
Here’s how it works: When you feed your 4D assumption with positive thoughts, emotions, and intentions, you are staving the old assumption you once had – the one that is fueling the physical world you desire to change. And remember, what you assume to be true will be true for you.
On the flip side, if you continue to reinforce the 3D assumption by dwelling in that state and giving up on your new assumptions, you’ll remain stuck in a cycle of unfulfillment and dissatisfaction.

Practical Tips for Embracing the 4D
Now that you understand the importance of the 4D and your assumptions with it, let’s here are some practical tools to help you embrace the idea fully. (Note: these are just tools to help assist you with your 4D states and assumptions, they are not needed at all – but if they make you feel good, are fun, and resonate don’t hesitate to use them! It’s all about getting yourself to the end!)
- Visualization
Visualization can be a useful tool for strengthening your 4D assumptions. Take time each day to close your eyes and vividly imagine your goals and desires coming to fruition. Feel the emotions associated with success as if they’re happening right now.
Dreamy little tip: Create a pinterest vision board with images and words that represent your desires. Place it where you can see it daily to reinforce your 4D assumptions.
- Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that help reprogram your subconscious mind. Use them to counteract any negative 3D assumptions. For example, if you’re struggling with self-doubt, repeat affirmations like, “I am confident and capable.”
Remember: Consistency is key when using affirmations, use them to starve your old story. If you feel yourself feeding the old story by saying “This is never going to work. I’m always broke, poor, etc.” immediately and gently correct yourself by saying “I have all of my desires. I am loved, rich, beautiful, adored, etc.”
- Do More Research on Source Material
It’s always easier to focus, stay consistent, and not give up when you are backed by knowledge. Read more information on the Law of Assumption and Neville Goddard! When you have your own knowledge it helps you feel confident and sure in what you are doing.

In the End
I wanted to create this post because I have been seeing much confusion on 3D vs. 4D when it comes to the Law of Assumption. Understanding the difference between these two and embracing the 4D can transform your life in remarkable ways.
Please remember, it’s not about denying the 3D – but remembering that the 3D is neutral and it’s our assumptions that shape our experiences. Whether you choose to let the old story, ego, and outside opinions shape it or take control and live in power with your 4D is up to you. With the right assumptions, you have the power to create the reality you’ve always dreamed of.
So, are you ready to take control of your beliefs and assumptions and manifest the desire you’ve been waiting for?
